![]() ![]() I have followed this procedure about 4 times a day (out of curiosity) and I find the fluctuations in voltage interesting. I then reopen the app and the battery information is updated showing current temperature, voltage and percentage charge. A warning appears to the effect that it may cause problems, if the app is 'forced to shut down', but as yet I have not detected any adverse effects. (UPDATE - The app seems to perform best, at least with my combo, if I go, on my phone, to Settings^Apps^Battery Sense^Force Shut Down. Sometimes the information update requires exiting then reopening the app (but that is only a 'couple' of finger taps which is no hardship). Much easier than getting out the voltmeter and opening the bonnet etc. I would be good if the value was displayed for a point in time as you touch that point on the graph. Also, it can be tricky to judge the readings displayed on the graph. You’re forced to switch between each one. It’s not possible to overly voltage, charge or temperature to compare them. My only criticism is that the more graph features. My car is parked about 3M in front of my house and I can just about connect using my iPhone from my living room, although the connection does drop out often. The temperature reading is also very handy although you have to turn this on from the settings menu. So it’s great to be able to monitor the battery over time. After a few day’s on a solar trickle charger the battery is showing 60% charge. ![]() The car had been sat around 3 weeks without being started, so I can believe that’s fairly accurate. I can’t be sure of the accuracy of the “state of charge” reading but it showed my battery as being 45%. I compared the voltage reading to a Fluke multimeter and it was within 0.1V of the Fluke reading. Installation in my car and linking to the app were both quick and simple. I picked this up to monitor my car battery while working from home during Covid-19 lockdown. ![]() Compatible with: Android OS 4.4 (or higher) iPhone iOS 7 (or higher) and Bluetooth 4.0 hardware. ![]() With battery sense and appropriate CTEK chargers, you get a complete battery care package.
